The Pope's Remarkable Interview | National Catholic Reporter by MSW.  MGB: I suspect that when Francis talks about Catholicism he includes the Eastern Churches and may consider himself the Western Patriarch under a larger umbrella.  It is indeed true that the Right to Life movement and the bishops attached to it are an arm of the Republican Party.  This has to stop right now and I believe Francis will stop it.  There is one thing, however, where I think Francis gets it wrong, the Gospel, like morality and ethics, are entirely for man.  God is fine without them.  They are entirely a gift to us to get into relationship with God - not for God's sake but for ours.
