Why Romney's "Joke" Was Vile, Not Funny

Why Romney's "Joke" Was Vile, Not Funny by MSW.  MGB:  I'm sure Mitt was hitting back over a joke told earlier in the week, as vague, about the dog on the top of the car.  There is a difference between telling a joke about an embarrassing incident and one about your opponent's origins.  This highlights Romney's history as one of the mean kids in his youth - a trait Obama may or may not have shared, but Barack can still tell a joke better and often follows the dog on top of the car joke with the dog as lunch.  I don't see Romney really mastering self-deprecating humor - not a good trait in a President.
