Sr. Anne Montgomery, Plowshares leader against nuclear weapons, dies RIP Sister Anne.  Getting the bishops to listen may just have gotten rid of MAD, since after the letter, Reagan changed the targeting policy to take civilian targets off the table and got the Soviets to do the same.  She may have had more to do with a safe environment for Communism to fall than Pope John Paul II ever did.
