Akin & the Pro-Life Cause by MSW.  MGB: There is no chance any constitutional amendment on life will pass, partly for that reason.  Anyway, it only takes a simple majority to pass a bill moving legal recognition of unborn life earlier.  The movement seems unwilling to really do this, at least not in the way that  overcomes some very real objections.  Until they offer such a bill that deals with such objections in a way most can agree with - and by most, I mean overwhelming majorities, not just 51%, the movement cannot be considered serious and it is no surprise that Ryan and Akin rise to the top.
