MGB: The conservative gambit to win the Senate and White House is less likely to bear fruit than running supporting moderation and competence, especially if the economy stays about where it is now.  GOP donors may see beyond the spin and insist on a deal that results in long term tax and entitlement reform prior to the election, which would essentially be acknowledging that the GOP has no chance this November.  The really rich Republican donors have much more to lose if faced with Democratic majorities in both houses, which effectively neuter any Romney initiatives, the ability to advance these being extremely unlikely given how Virginian, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Florida are leaning.  Unless the GOP steals the election through voter suppression, this election is almost over.
