None of the trade deals are good policy, but they are established policy. To not do TPP one would first have to void NAFTA, et al, or negotiate amendments taking out provisions that give corporations more sovereignty than governments. I don't see that happening. One day a group of socialist cooperatives are going to assert their rights under trade deals and only then will see action - and then the current crowd against them will be for them.
Italy never really lost its fascist streak. Il Duce hanged himself and there was little other accountability after the war. No Italian Nurembergs. Old mistakes are easily repeated.
Congrats to his Grace of Chicago. Hopefully Francis will remember him with a red hat.
