MGB: He seems to be on top of this and has quickly become a leading prelate in America - which I am sure the Cardinal Protector of the Knights of the Order of Malta is steaming about.  Still, it would have been good if the remarks had been delivered in Spanish.  It would have been better if the bishops had demanded a less punitive bill in terms of fines and waiting periods.  We can't pass a good bill now, but we should put a good bill out there so that later we can pass it.
