MGB: The basic problem is not Trump but those who support him.  They were socialized that way in what you could call "culturally conservative" households.  Of course, this poison lasts less and less with each generation - which is why the Trumpers really dislike College education as a concept because it almost always frees you from your native beliefs, at least nowadays. How do we respond when the problem is not the politician but the people he represents.  In 1972, they had an electoral landslide.  Fortune would have it that this is not possible this year - although we must energetically challenge and overturn Voter ID laws that attempt to keep minorities and students from voting, lest some surprise breach in the "Blue Wall" turn tragic.  Of course, Trump will likely embarrass himself in the debates with Clinton, but we cannot be overconfident.  We must vote this year and in 2018.
