Oddly, orthodoxy was achieved by the democracy of the Council - not from anyone issuing a Bull from Rome. indeed, the contents of the faith regarding Christ were made orthodox, it was by a vote of elected bishops - and in some cases conflicts got bloody - even after the issue was settled. Blood need not be spilt anymore, but all need not be preserved.
