Clearest winner of third debate: The Democratic Party
Beto won. Everyone is talking about guns. It may even help in a race for Governor. Sanders and Warren need to say why single payer is coming ready or not. Insurance company business models soon them. Castro lost bad because we kill the messenger. The vote Biden needs most is Jill's. She may vote no. He does not have two terms in him. Everyone lost by not running against Pence and calling out presidential pro-life voting as a scam. Iowa and New Hampshire will winnow the field. If someone wins both, its over and the race is for VP. The nominee has the vote that matters in that race.

  1. The abortion piece of this post quickly became an abortion war in the US Catholic Politpics discussion group. They missed the whole point.

I was addressing the fact that the last 4 GOP justices had roughly the same civil liberties case law book I used as a pre-law undergrad. Roe fits into 14th, 5th and 9th Amendment law and any lawyer my age or younger in Congress or the Judiciary does as well. They got graded on understanding it. That includes the last 4 GOP nominees. When Pence 46 runs to get a first term in his own right, he must be challenged on the fact that electing him will not overturn Roe (nor will voting Democrat protect it).

The only pro-life view must be to fight for adequate family income, even if abortion is not mentioned. The Dems need to start challenging Pence (and ignoring Trump) yesterday, not a year from now. If Pence agrees with money for families, I may even vote for him. My concern is the children, born and unborn. That should be the concern of anyone who is pro-life. If it is not, then those people are using the unborn as pawns to elect Republicans. HOW DARE THEY!
