Latino identities, always in the plural, and voting trends
Not only is there no Latin-American vote, there isn't even a Mexican-American vote, just like there is no Irish vote. Appealing to demographics of any kind over the airwaves is fake. If you have community leaders in your campaign, you don't need ads. Community can be national (like the Black vote) or by neighborhood (White voters with children in American University Park). Who you need to bring into the campaign depends on who you know and who is on your side. Politics is always personal and relational. Is it economic? Look at attitudes of people with children and people without them. This year, Biden got this one right.
