Ave Maria professor's book sees roots of religious liberty in Catholicism
I am interested in whether the author mentions Garibaldi and Mirare Vos. The situation in the U.S. did not grow out of mere bigotry. Even now, members of the Conference would rather not acknowledge the existence of Dignitatis Humanae. In the war between tradition and liberty, liberty won at St. John's Council.
