MGB: Stories of abortion, especially the medically necessary kind, are essential to understanding much of this issue, especially with regard to ectopic pregnancy. The pro-life ethics community perhaps needs to do some rethinking on both how we help families mourn lost pregnancies and on whether a child that can never be born normally has a valid claim to life. The question is not whether the life is innocent, but whether it is a danger. If it is, its claim must be considered void.
