MGB: This lack of class consciousness lets Romney and the GOP congressional leadership claim with a straight face that taxing non-wage income for individuals making over $200,000 a year and families making over $250,000 a year to pay for fixing Medicare Part A and the Affordable Care Act is a tax on the middle class. That is true only in their universe. Most people consider such families to be well off or rich. They are at least upper-middle. Note that the same congressional framers who prohibited titles of nobility were of the same economic strata, so this is not accident.
